WEST HAVERSTRAW, N.Y. — In the final Northeast Conference meet of the season, the Sacred Heart University women's bowling program went 1-2 against No. 1 Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday.
The Pioneers needed to shutout FDU in all three of their matchups to secure first.The Pioneers sit at 15-6 in the league, dropping from second to third behind Duquesne.
The Dukes finished second with a 16-5 record. The Knights sealed the deal for both the NEC regular season title and the number one seed in the upcoming NEC Championships.
The defending NEC champions will compete in the conference tournament March 19-21, with the hopes of earning the crown.
