MT. JOY, PA — The Sacred Heart University women's bowling team kicked off their Northeast Conference three-day series with a win against LIU, 2-1, on Friday. Contrary to past years, the Pioneers faced one opponent in three different formats instead of playing multiple teams once a series in round-robin style of play across three weekends.

- After being down 50 pins halfway through the match, SHU threw 16 out of 25 strikes to secure a win, 975-885.
