The 13th ranked Sacred Heart University women's bowling team 4-1 on the second day of the James Brown Invitational. The Pioneers, 47-29 overall, moved into second place in the 16-team event, with a 7-2 record over the first two days. The three-day event concludes Sunday

Match 6 (SHU 943, Duquesne 907)
- SHU defeated its NEC rival, and 10th ranked, Duquesne
- Bamford again led the way, with 231
- Caitlyn Kelly also eclipsed 200, with a 203 effort
Match 7 (Mount St. Mary's 1010, SHU 1,006)
- A classic NEC battle, that ended up with a four-point margin for the 14th ranked Mountaineers
- Julia Favata put up the Pioneers second-best score of the day, 244
- Kelly was over 200 for the second straight game, with a 212
Match 8 (SHU 909, Norfolk State 833)
- Kelly was the top scorer, at 201
- Bamford just missed out, falling a pin short
Match 9 (SHU 1,043, Bloomfield 986)
- The Pioneers saved their best score for last, moving into second place in the team standings
- Favata laid down the top score of the day for SHU, with a 246
- Victoria Pacacha was one pin back
