NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ (October 30, 2015)—The Sacred Heart bowling team finished 16th at the FDU New Jersey Jamboree this weekend. After entering the bracket as the No. 17 seed, the Pioneers downed St. Francis Brooklyn 4-1 before falling to Franklin Pierce 4-1
After a weekend off, the Pioneers head to Altoona, Pa. for the first Northeast Conference meet of the year on November 14-15.
Day One (Traditional Team Games)
- Sacred Heart Junior Amanda Tyrell continues to have a great season finishing in eigth out of 179 individual bowler after day one averaging 213. The Pioneers ended day one in ninth with total pinfall of 4,810 and 4-1, losing to Arkansas State.
Match 1:

- Tyrell led the Pioneers with a 203 game, and the only one over 200.

- Tyrell led shooting 231
- Kristen Zimmerman shot 215 coming off the bench

- Zimmerman led with a 211 game

- Casey Smith had the only 200+ game, shooting 214
Match 8:

- Smith again with the only 200 game, shooting 207
Match 9:

- Three Pioneers shot over 200: Zimmerman 222, Hoffman 214, Maher 203
Match 10:
- North Carolina A&T State University 941 - SHU 836
- Sarah Rhodes led shooting 179
Match Play (Best-of-seven baker games):
- The Pioneers went in to match play seeded 17th with a total pinfall of 9,249 and a 6-4 record
- SHU faced NEC foe St. Francis Brooklyn, seeded 16th, in the first round. The Pioneers took the first game 194-162, but the Terriers rebounded taking game two 183-162. Sacred Heart squeezed out a 172-171 win in game three, and completed the 4-1 win to advance with 181-150 and 233-212 wins in games four and five respectively
- The Pioneers were knocked out by Franklin Pierce, who had upset Tulane 4-3.5 in the first round. The Ravens took the first two games 190-154 and 187-180 before SHU dominated the third game for the 204-184 win. Despite a second straight 200+ game by the Pioneers, Franklin Pierce took game four 220-215, and clinched the win with a 199-190 win in game five

- Tyrell led the Pioneers in day one with a total pinfall of averaging 213
- Zimmerman led SHU at the end of qualifying averaging 202.11, finishing 57th amongst all bowlers
