CARLSBAD, Calif. – After impressive seasons at the top of the Sacred Heart University men's golf lineup, Ethan Phillips and Mike Rothberg were named NCAA Division I PING All-Region in the Northeast on Saturday afternoon, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Phillips collects his first DI All-Region nod after he won two while at Division II Post (23-24, 21-22). Rothberg claims his first All-Region recognition.

Phillips had an outstanding debut campaign with the Pioneers, the lone unanimous selection on the All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) First Team. The graduate transfer from Belleville, Ontario, maintained a 73.2 adjusted average on the season in 24 rounds and was named the MAAC Golfer of the Week on March 12. He finished the season with a win at the SHU Spring Break Invite and led the Pios at the MAAC Championships in third.

Rothberg continued his stellar collegiate career with an impressive junior season, leading the team with a 73.0 adjusted average over 24 rounds. The Fairfield native also earned one win on the season and one MAAC Golfer of the Week award. Rothberg joined Phillips on the All-Championship Team by placing in a tie for sixth after an outstanding round three.
