NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — Keegan Pepin and
Meghan O'Donnell had high placements in women's varsity while
Valentina Termine took the top team spot in sub-varsity as the Sacred Heart University women's cross country team participated at the 20
th Annual Central Connecticut State University mini-meet on Friday afternoon.
In the varsity 3k, Pepin ran well placing inside the top 60 athletes with a time of 10:52.88 while O'Donnell ran a good race, placing 80
th with a time of 11:29.02.
In the sub-varsity race, the Pios got strong outings from Termine as well as
Kyla Coughlin and
Mia Breauninger who all placed inside the top 40. Termine finished the course in 11:49.37 while Coughlin and Breauninger placed in order times of 12:04.45 and 12:07.2, respectively.
Following the top three for HSU,
Megan Schneider and
Bridget Benn scored for the Pios, placing 44
th and 46
threspectively, while
Morgan Morelli and
Taylor Mason rounded out the scoring for SHU with top-50 finishes as the Pios finished third in team scoring in the sub-varsity field. Full results can be found here:
