PITTSBURGH, Pa.—The Sacred Heart women's bowling team placed second at the first Northeast Conference meet of the season. The Pioneers went 5-2 on the weekend, knocking down a total of 6,730 pins.
Sacred Heart beat Saint Francis (Pa.), Wagner, Saint Francis Brooklyn, LIU, and FDU.
Rachel Glowniak led the team the first day in frame average with 19.93 and 90% filled frames.
Amanda Shelters was in the lineup for the first time this season after returning from injury, playing all four matches and averaging 19.35.
During the second day
Hannah Manetta lead with 21.60 along with
Paige Donovan and Shelters at 20.20. Glowniak lead with filled frames again at 90%.
The next conference weekend is on December 4th through 5th in North Brunswick, N.J.
The Pioneers are back in action next weekend, November 18th through the 20th at the Hawk Classic at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
