Of Note:
SHU actually jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the opening set before SFU was able to even the score to 10-10 and ran away with the 25-23 opening set win. After a little back and forth action in the second SFU went on a 9-0 run to eventually take the second set by a score of 25-14. The late groove by the Red Flash aided in their third set victory 25-17.
Topping the Pioneers was rookie Patrick Mucherino with 7 kills and 7 digs. Mark Berry was next with six winners. Libero Timothy McIntosh recorded 9 digs.
The Red Flash did damage at the service line with four aces, compared to one by the visitors. Saint Francis also had a 32-25 advantage in kills and hit .333 while limiting the Pioneers to .011.
