How it Happened:
The first set saw a lot of back-and-forth play as there were several lead changes throughout the set. After being tied up 21-21, the Pioneers pulled away thanks to Petr Beranek as he secured two kills and an ace for the 25-22 win.

Penn State came out hot in the second set securing an early six-point lead. The Pioneers battled but were unable to stop the Nittany Lion's arms as they tallied 15 kills taking the set 25-16.

Set three looked more like set one as it was more competitive. The teams traded two to three point runs throughout the set. SHU tied things up at 25 with a kill form Jaron Popp but PSU secured two unanswered points for the 27-25 result.

Penn State used their momentum to propel themselves through set four dominating the entire set to secure the win in 25-15.
