STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Sacred Heart University men's volleyball team dropped Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) match to Penn State, 3-1, Saturday afternoon on the road.
Aleksa Mandic led the Pioneers with 17 kills, just one less than yesterday's match.

How it Happened:
The first set saw a lot of back-and-forth play as there were several lead changes throughout the set. After being tied up 21-21, the Pioneers pulled away thanks to
Petr Beranek as he secured two kills and an ace for the 25-22 win.
Penn State came out hot in the second set securing an early six-point lead. The Pioneers battled but were unable to stop the Nittany Lion's arms as they tallied 15 kills taking the set 25-16.
Set three looked more like set one as it was more competitive. The teams traded two to three point runs throughout the set. SHU tied things up at 25 with a kill form
Jaron Popp but PSU secured two unanswered points for the 27-25 result.
Penn State used their momentum to propel themselves through set four dominating the entire set to secure the win in 25-15.
