Box Score STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Eighth-ranked Penn State got out to a strong start that the Sacred Heart University men's volleyball team could not overcome. The Nittany Lions beat the Pioneers 3-0 (25-12, 25-17, 25-18) on Saturday.
The loss dropped the Pioneers to 0-14 overall and in the EIVA. Penn State improved to 16-2 and 13-1 in the league.
Penn State's offensive attack was too much for the Pioneers as they hit .351 while limiting Sacred Heart to a -.041 rate. The hosts also had a 31-16 advantage in digs.
Nicholas Palluzzi was tops with four kills and five digs. Aaron Peterson had a trio of blocks.
