Box Score The Sacred Heart University men's volleyball squad fell 3-0 to Ball State University at the Worthen Arena. The Pioneers drop to 5-11 overall, while the Cardinals improve to 12-6 overall.
The Cardinals registered a .374 hit percentage while the Pioneers posted a .094 hit percentage.
The Pioneers are back in action Saturday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. to face St. Francis Brooklyn

- Rob Chatterton led the Pioneers recording seven kills with a .429 hit percentage, one service ace, two solo blocks, one block assist and one dig
- Jacob Peterson tallied a team-high 18 assists, added on kill, three block assists and three digs
- Kaleb Jenness posted 13 kills, two block assists and 10 digs on the night
- The Pioneers registered 8.0 blocks compared to the Cardinals 5.0
First Set (25-19 Ball State)
- The Pioneers jumped out to a 2-1 lead after kills from Connor Mahony and Paulo Samin, then a 4-1 run gave the Cardinals a 5-3 lead
- Ball State went on a 4-0 run to lead 11-5, each team traded several points to bring the scored to 16-11 with a kill from J. Peterson
- Several points later Sacred Heart outscored Ball State 4-1, with kills from Mahony and Chatterton, 22-17
- The Cardinals scored the final two points of the set to take set one 25-19
Second Set (25-15 Ball State)
- Ball State got out to an early 9-2 lead with three kills from Jenness
- Sacred Heart grabbed two quick points, 9-4, however the Cardinals went on a 5-0 run to lead 14-4
- The Pioneers found their offensive groove going on a 5-0 run fueled by two kills from Calin Butler and one kill from Shawn Tischler, 16-10
- With kills from Butler and Tischler Sacred Heart came within six of the Cardinals, 20-14
- Ball State outscored Sacred Heart 5-1 to win set two 25-15
Third Set (25-18 Ball State)
- Mahony's kill started the third set, but the Cardinals went on a 6-2 run to lead 6-3
- Ball State scored four straight points with kills from Jenness, Will Hippe and Blake Reardon, 11-5
- Sacred Heart outscored the host 3-1 to cut into Ball State's advantage, 13-9
- The Cardinals went on a 3-0 run to increase their lead but the Pioneers countered with a 6-1 run with two kills and a service ace from Chatterton, 17-15
- Ball State would go on an 8-3 run winning the third set 25-18
