Senior Jim Fazzini had a career high 24 kills to lead the Saint Francis men's volleyball team to a 3-1 win over Sacred Heart on Senior Day, Saturday night at Degol Arena.
Fazzini had a game-high 25.0 points and added 11 digs, and 2 blocks in the match as the Red Flash defeated the Pioneers 30-23, 25-30, 30-19, 30-28.
Senior Matt Heckman (Manorville, N.Y.) contributed with 8 kills, 1 ace, 2 digs and a game-high 7 blocks for 13 points, and senior Jeff Mason (Economy, Pa.) added 3 digs.
Sophomore Mark Steele (Martinsburg, Pa.) pitched in with 10.0 points on 8 kills, 27 assists, 1 dig and 3 blocks. Freshman Shane Conley (Pittsburgh, Pa.) had 30 assists, 3 digs and 3 blocks.
Sacred Heart was led by John Breen (North Andover, MA) with 13 kills, 1 ace and 8 digs. Freshman Barry Smith (Shelton, CT) had nine kills while junior Brian Rosa (Port Jefferson Station, NY) added eight winners.
The Pioneers finished the season with a 2-17 record overall and a 2-10 mark in EIVA play.
