LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. — A beautiful sunny yet windy day served as the backdrop for the beginning of the Pioneers 2025 outdoor season. The competition would see Sacred Heart face off against Fordham University and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) foes Rider and Marist. The men's and women's teams hit the ground running with an eventful day culminating in top-two team finishes. The men grabbed the meet win with 109 points, just one point in front of Rider, while the women finished in second with 90.5 points.
On the track, Colin Brown (200M), Lance Hayes (400M), Magdalena Brogioli (100H), and the men's 4x400m team secured event wins. Liam Tharin (Discus), Dylan Hunt (Triple Jump), Annalise Nassy (Triple Jump), Joshua Wood (Hammer), and Elena Chaplin (Shot Put) secured event wins in the field. Depth throughout the team, from veteran leadership to rookies, continued outstanding performances with multiple top five finishes, personal bests, and top marks in the MAAC.
