NEW YORK, N.Y. — For the second time this season
Magdalena Brogioli broke the school record in the 60m hurdles at the Scarlet Knight Open. Brogioli broke her previous record by a tenth of a second after completing the finals in second place. The junior ran a blistering 8.60, solidifying it as the top time in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).
Grace Sousa claimed another second place finish for the Pioneers in the taxing 3000m. The senior completed her race in 9:50.66 and was the top collegiate finisher beating out runners from Rutgers and Florida International. While in the high jump,
Lauryn Piccirelli finished the day in third against tough competition. Piccirelli completed a leap of 1.65m behind two top 40 marks in the country.
In the final event of the day, the 4x400, the quartet of
Madeline Archangelo,
Ava Srinivasan,
Emily Raymond, and
Tori Chorzepa finished third in 4:04.28 behind MAAC foe Rider, who claimed the win.
