- Holy Cross would take the lead coming 18:08 into the first period as Jake Higgins gave the Crusaders a 1-0 advantage.
- After the opening half of the second period tallied no scoring, graduate Rourke Russell fired his second goal of the season 12:10 into the period to even the score at 1-1.
- The third period was all Pioneers as sophomore John Jaworski was able to register Sacred Heart's 12th power-play goal of the year coming 6:45 into the period to put SHU ahead 2-1.
- Neil Shea was the rest of the story as he would put the Pioneers up two goals 11:14 into the third period before he sealed the victory with an empty net goal in the closing two minutes to secure the 4-1 victory.
- This is Shea's third multi-point game of the season.
- Graduate Alex Bates tallied his first points since January 7 against Niagara.
