- The Pioneers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first period off goals from Conner Hutchison (5:17), John Jaworski (8:07) and Todd Goehring (10:15).
- Bentley countered back with three unanswered goals first coming in the opening period off the stick of Kohei Sato 16:56 into the first.
- In the closing minutes of the final period, graduate student Troy Conzo fired his third goal of the season 15:27 into the period to put the Pioneers ahead 4-3.
- Junior Patrick Dawson sealed the win with an empty-net goal in the closing minute to secure the 5-3 victory.
- Three Pioneers recorded multi-point games as Neil Shea, Hunter Sansbury and Ryan Steele each tallied a pair of assists. Â
- Senior Austin Magera tallied one assist which placed him 17th on the Pioneers all-time scoring list with 85 points.Â
