HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — In the final game of the four-game series, the Sacred Heart University men's baseball team fell 5-0 to non-conference opponent Hofstra on Sunday. 

Records:

Sacred Heart: 2-10

Hofstra: 7-5

Statistical Leaders:

Isiah Daubon (SHU): 2-4

Joe Emerson (SHU): 2-4

Of Note:

• The Pioneers and Pride were knotted at zero until the bottom of the seventh inning when Hofstra got three runs off reliever Jake Babuschak.
• SHU had missed opportunities to send a runner home with 13 left on. The Pioneers had a runner in scoring position in the seventh inning and two runners on in the ninth.
• Starting pitcher Chase Jeter threw four scoreless innings
