LAST TIME OUT
The Pioneers fell in both ends of a doubleheader at Siena in a pair of closely contested games. SHU outhit the Saints in the series, 11-9, but suffered 3-1 and 6-5 losses. The third game of the series was canceled due to field conditions at Siena.
Morgan Teodosio shined in game two, hitting a grand slam in the fifth to make it a one-run game, 6-5.
Sam Kowalski has a strong outing in the circle in game one, going 6.0 innings and allowing just four hits and one earned run. Unfortunately, two unearned runs in the first proved to be the difference.
GLAD TO BE HOME
A return to Pioneer Park is just what SHU needs as the Pios have excelled at home this season. Sacred Heart is 9-2 at home this season and averages 6.4 runs per game in its home park. On the other hand, the Pios are 7-15 on the road or in neutral games and averages 4.0 runs per game away from Fairfield. SHU's ERA is also affected as it raises from 2.27 at home to 5.48 on the road.
