IRVINE, Cali. – The Sacred Heart men's volleyball dropped final California road match to UC Irvine on Saturday night 3-0. The Pioneers fall to 3-11 (0-6 EIVA) on the season.

How It Happened:
Set one was the most competitive as the teams saw some early back-and-forth play until the Anteaters secured a 9-2 run capitalizing on SHU's errors. The Pios pushed back but were unable to overcome the setback falling 25-17.
The Anteaters secured an 8-1 to make the difference in the second with a mixture of kills, aces and blocks. SHU responded with a trio of kills but ultimately fell 25-16.
UC Irvine dominated the third set with seven unanswered points out of the gate followed by another six. The Pios fell 25-13.
SHU returns home Saturday, March 15 to face FDU at 7 p.m.
