FAIRFIELD, Conn. - A pair of third-period goals helped Stonehill hold on for a 3-0 victory over the Sacred Heart women's hockey team at the Martire Family Arena.
The Skyhawks earned five of six points in the two-game weekend series.
Carly Greene made 30 saves in goal for the Pioneers.

FIRST PERIOD HIGHLIGHTS
The opening 20 minutes were evenly played, but Stonehill emerged with a 1-0 lead thanks to Lily Geist's goal at 5:59.
SECOND PERIOD HIGHLIGHTS
The Pioneers had a big edge in play in the second, peppering Stonehill goalie Alexa Caron with 15 shots but she stopped them all. Sacred Heart had three power play opportunities but couldn't capitalize.
THIRD PERIOD HIGHLIGHTS
Mia Kenmore's goal at 5:26 put the Skyhawks in front by two, and Peyton Wise's empty-net goal with 54 seconds remaining sealed the victory.
NOTES
Greene recorded at least 30 saves in a game for the fourth time this season. She had a season-high 45 stops against Saint Anselm back on Oct. 12
Alyssa Antonakis had a team-high six shots on goal for Sacred Heart.
The Pioneers wore special uniforms with green jersey numbers to recognize the great work of Heart to Heart, a mental health initiative established by Sacred Heart Athletics Department.

The Pioneers play a two-game series with LIU next weekend. The first game is Saturday on Long Island at 7:30 p.m. The two teams then meet at Martire on Sunday at 3 p.m.
