Box Score TRUMBULL, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University women's tennis team improve its record to 8-1 after defeating upcoming MAAC opponent, Siena College, 5-2, on Saturday.
 
In doubles play, Katsiaryna Starastsenka and Kim Fenton came out of the No. 1 spot with a 6-2 win. In the No. 2 spot, Flavia Rambaldi and Vitalina Golod also won a 6-2 decision. 
 
The Pioneers rode their momentum to clinch the match singles play. Starastsenka, won No. 1 singles in a 6-1, 6-2 decision. Rambaldi defeated the No. 3 player from Siena 6-4, 4-6, and 6-4. At No 4. Singles, Aina Garriga also battled through three sets winning 7-6(4), 3-6, and 6-1. Olivia Kharkover defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5.
