FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University men's volleyball team fell to Saint Francis University Saturday evening, 3-0.

Patrick Mucherino: 7 kills, 1 block, 2 digs, 7.5 points
Carlos Santa Cruz: 6 kills, 1 blocks, 4 digs, 6.5 points
Wilson Buchanan: 20 assists, 6 digs
 
How It Happened:
After some close play to start tonight's match, the Red Flash built an early 6-3 lead. SHU fought back to tie the score at 14-14. The teams then began to trade points, with the score remaining tied through 42 points, 21-21. Unfortunately for the Pioneers, the Red Flash won four of the final five point to take the frame 25-22.  
 
After dropping the second set 25-9, the Pioneers started the third leading by five points. SFU went on a 7-4 run to close the gap. After a series of Red Flash aces, SFU took the lead to win the third 25-21.

Patrick Mucherino and Carlos Santa Cruz tallied seven and six kills, respectively. Wilson Buchanan tallied 20 assists and a season high of 6 digs.
