SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. / HAMDEN, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University men's and women's tennis teams had mixed weekend results. Some members of the women's team competed at the University of Rhode Island (URI) Invitational, while some members of the women's and men's teams competed at the Quinnipiac Mixed Doubles Tournament.

First year
Kiah James led the Pios over two days in Rhode Island with one singles win and one doubles win. James defeated Caitlyn Munson from Bryant 6-0, 6-4 but fell to Flora Eidson from Providence 7-5, 6-3 in the next round. Partnered with
Nicolina Giannola, the pair defeated Philips and Gutierrez 6-2 but later fell to Providence.
Senior
Renee Sharma secured two singles wins for the Pios defeating Bella Tan from Bryant and Vanshita Malhotra from Merrimack.
Quinnipiac Mixed Doubles
Wesleyan, Quinnipiac and SHU participated in the tournament creating 18 different mixed doubles teams that competed Saturday.

Vayo Rodriguez reached the finals with his partners from Quinnipiac (Isabella Sicignano & Nikole Lisovyy).
