The Huskies took the doubles point to start the contest.
Junior
Kim Fenton and sophomore
Renee Sharma won their singles matches on a default and opponent retirement to give SHU a 2-1 lead.
Sophomore
Aina Garriga sealed a victory at No. 3 in straight sets to extend the Pioneers' lead.
UConn took No. 1 singles, but the winning points from seniors
Ciara O'Toole and
Vitalina Golod helped SHU clinch the victory.
The Pioneers have won 12 matches this year, tying the program's single-season win record set in 2021-22.
