PRINCETON, N.J.  – Former EIVA foes met on the volleyball court Friday night when the Sacred Heart University men's volleyball team traveled to Princeton. The Pioneers battled with the Tigers, but the hosts prevailed, 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-14, 25-22).

SHU was on the verge of pushing the match to a fifth set, but the hosts went on a 3-0 run of its own to take a 23-20 lead.
Mark Berry came through with a pair of kills, but the Pioneers couldn't close the gap.

Berry produced double-digit kills for the third match in a row, recording a season-high 16 winners. He had strong match all around with three blocks, five digs and two aces. Tying Berry for the team lead was junior
Patrick Mucherino. Kwinta just missed out on a double-double with 35 assists and eight digs.

Princeton had a 14-3 advantage from the service line and outdug the Pioneers, 35-27.
