Box Score WEST POINT, N.Y.— The Sacred Heart women's tennis team grinded out a 4-3 victory over Seton Hall to end the weekend at Army on Sunday.
 
The Pioneers earned the doubles point to start the match. Vitalina Golod and Kim Fenton notched a victory at number one, defeating Arina Gumerova and Arabella Moen, 6-1. Katsiaryna Statrastsenka and Olivia Kharkover closed out with a 7-5 win over Hili Kronzon and Emily O'Donovan at number two.
 
In the first two single matches, Starastsenka (6-1, 6-1) and Golod (6-2, 6-1) beat their opponents in straight sets to extend Sacred Heart's lead, 3-0. After losing in the first set 6-3, Ciara O'Toole came back to defeat Emily O'Donovan 6-0 and 11-9 in the tiebreaker at number four in the fourth match on the court to give the Pioneers the winning point.
 
Up next, Sacred Heart hosts its first match of the season against Lafayette at the Tennis Club of Trumbull on February 12 at 5:30 p.m.
