MUNCIE, Ind. – Sixth-ranked Ball State got out to a fast start on Saturday against the Sacred Heart University men's volleyball team and the Pioneers could not slow down the Cardinals. The Pioneers dropped a 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-12) decision.

The hosts set the tone by jumping out to a 10-1 lead in the opening frame. BSU broke open the second set with a 5-0 run midway through. SHU's best chance came in set three as it pulled within 22-20, but the Cardinals pulled away to clinch the match.
Ball State hit .456, including .688 in the opening set, while limiting the Pioneers to .092. The Cardinals also had a 13-1 blocking advantage.
