Of Note:
- The Warriors took an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first off an RBI double to center field.
- Merrimack then tallied five runs in the bottom of the second inning off a pair of RBI singles, two passed balls, and a sacrifice fly to left field to put the Warriors ahead 6-0.
- The Pioneers got on the scoreboard in the top of the fourth inning as Morgan Teodosio ripped an RBI single to the shortstop scoring in Halie Ebert to narrow the Merrimack lead to 6-1.
- In the top of the fifth inning, SHU added a pair of runs off a wild pitch to cut the Merrimack lead to 6-3.
- In the bottom half of the inning, Merrimack tallied two runs off a bunt and single to center field to give the Warriors an 8-3 lead.
- In the sixth and seventh inning the Pioneers tallied a run each off a wild pitch in the sixth and a home run by Grace Saad in the top of the seventh to result in the 8-5 score.
