SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Sacred Heart University men's volleyball team couldn't find its rhythm offensively Wednesday against Springfield College. The Pride defeated the Pioneers, 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-18).

Sacred Heart couldn't stop Springfield on offense as the hosts hit .538 compared to .134 by the Pioneers. The Pride also had the 26-11 margin in digs. 
 
Springfield grabbed the first two set thanks to runs midway through each frame. The Pioneers had a 13-10 lead in the third stanza, but SC went on a 7-0 run on its way to taking the match.
 
More than half of SHU's kills came from sophomore Patrick Mucherino as he posted a match-high 13 winners. The Oxford, Conn. native also had three aces and three digs.
