- The Pioneers jumped out to a 2-0 lead off a pair of RBI singles by Emily Carroll and Kylee Gurysh in the top of the fourth inning.
- In the bottom half of the fifth inning the Stags evened the game up at 2-2 off an RBI single.
- Fairfield scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning off a an RBI single through the right side to secure the 3-2 victory.
- Junior pitcher Olivia Vadas threw a career-high 10 strikeouts.
