- Yale jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period with a pair of goals from Henry Wagner and Ian Carpentier 12:33 and 15:51 into the period.
- SHU responded in the closing minutes of the period as senior Ryan Steele tallied his ninth goal of the year to narrow the Bulldog lead to 2-1.
- The Pioneers kicked-off the second period with a goal from the stick of junior Braeden Tuck 15:46 in the period to tie the game up at 2-2.
- Less than a minute later, Yale countered with a goal from Kyle Johnson to give Yale a 3-2 lead.
- At 3:03 into the final period of regulation, graduate Dante Palecco fired his second goal of the year against his former team to send the game into overtime.
- In the overtime period, senior Todd Goehring fired the game-winning goal 3:20 into the extra period to give the Pioneers the 4-3 victory.
- Austin Magera tallied his seventh multi-point game.
- Goehring scored his first goal since November 22 at Air Force.
- SHU has now won its last two meetings against the Bulldogs.
