- RIT jumped out to a 1-0 lead late in the first period as Andrew Rinaldi found the open net to put the Tigers on the scoreboard, 14:05 into the period.
- The Pioneers responded in the second period as senior Austin Magera fired his seventh goal of the year from the top circle to even the score at 1-1, 1:40 into the period.
- The Tigers took the lead back and didn't stop as they tallied four unanswered goals coming off the sticks of Dan Willett (4:46), Rinaldi (6:23), Will Calverley (13:52) and Carter Wilkie 8:27 into the third period to give the Tigers the 5-1 victory.
- Magera scored a point in his third straight game.
