- Quinnipiac got on the scoreboard first 13:13 in the opening period off a goal by Joey Cipollone to give the Bobcats a 1-0 lead.
- After a scoreless second period, the Pioneers answered back with a pair of goals in the third less than four minutes apart.
- Junior Neil Shea fired his sixth goal of the year going top shelf with 13:11 left in the period to even the score at 1-1.
- Then with 9:35 remaining, graduate Dakota Raabe scored his second goal of the year to give SHU a 2-1 lead.
- In the closing minutes of the period Quinnipiac tied the game up at 2-2 off a goal by Cipollone to send the game into overtime.
- With 1:09 remaining in overtime Zach Metsa found the open lane to give the Bobcats the 3-2 victory.
- Raabe scored his first goal since October 23, 2021 at Maine.
- First-year Conner Hutchison tallied his first collegiate multi-point game.
