Box Score 2 NEW BRITAIN, Conn.- The Sacred Heart University softball team was unable to take a pair back from Central Connecticut State as they fell 1-0 and 15-1 to the Blue Devils this afternoon.

Of Note
- Game one was a pitcher's duel as neither side could salvage a run until the fourth inning.
- Senior Colleen Walsh pitched a solid six innings allowing just one run on five hits and striking out six batters.
- Walsh was unable to get any run support as the Pioneers were held to just three hits which included double by first-year Emily Carroll and senior Kira Ferraiolo.
- An RBI single to center field by Bri Walker of Central Connecticut State in the bottom of the fourth scored in the lone run of the game.

Score: SHU 1, CCSU 15 (5 innings)
Of Note
- Game two belonged to Central Connecticut State as the Blue Devils took a commanding 7-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
- The Blue Devils would then add a pair more in the following inning to take a 9-0 heading into the third courtesy of an RBI double to right and a bases-loaded walk.
- SHU's lone run came in the top of the third inning as senior Caroline Kruger launched a solo home run to right field for her third of the year.
- Central Connecticut would score the remaining runs in the bottom of the third to result in the 15-1 victory.
