FAIRFIELD, Conn.- A tough defensive battle led to a narrow loss for the Sacred Heart University women's soccer team as they fell to Central Connecticut State by a final score of 1-0.

Of Note 

• The Pioneers kept even with the Blue Devils throughout the game as neither side was able to score a goal in the opening half.
• It wouldn't be until there were 17 minutes left in the game where Kelly Brady would score her second goal of the season to give the Blue Devils the 1-0 victory.
• Sophomore goalie Elyssa Kipperman made a season-high in saves with nine on 10 shots faced.
