• Army West Point struck first early in the second just :19 seconds into to the period Mason Krueger found the back of the net to put the Black Knights ahead 1-0.
• After a second goal by Army West Point came at 2:11 into the period, sophomore Kevin Lombardi would score his first power-play goal of the year off feeds from Ryan Steele and Andrius-Kulbis Marino to narrow the Army lead to 2-1.
• Lombardi's goal was his sixth of the year and now leads the Pioneers in goals scored.
• But the game was the Eric Butte show as he nailed the Black Knight's second short-handed goal of the year and the teams third goal of the game to seal the 3-1 win for the Black Knight's.
