Of Note
- SHU and UConn were neck and neck throughout the first period as an early Husky goal by Firstov would put UConn ahead 1-0. SHU answered back just four minutes later with a goal off the stick of Logan Britt for his first goal in a SHU uniform.
- UConn attacked first in the second period at 9:30 with a goal from Firstov to take a 3-1 lead.
- Kevin Lombardi responded with a goal a little over two minutes later off feeds from Britt and senior Ryan Steele to narrow the score to 3-2.
- Eight minutes later, Steele would score his first goal of the season off feeds from Lombadi and Dakota Raabe to make the game even at 3-3 heading into the final period.
- At 6:05 in the period, Jachym Kondelik would find the back of the net for the Huskies and eventually give the Huskies the 6-3 victory after a pair of empty net goals were scored after.
