SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The #19 ranked team in the nation was just too much for the Pioneers as the Sacred Heart University men's ice hockey team fell to AIC by a final score of 8-2.

Of Note: 

• This was the Pioneers first game since Jan. 6. 
• SHU took an early lead in the first period as a goal by sophomore Kevin Lombardi off a pair of assists by John Jaworski and Derek Contessa at 7:03 in the period.
• A three goal second period by AIC jumped the Yellow Jackets to a 5-2 lead heading into the third.
• Marcel Godbout scored his second power-play goal of the season 3:24 into the second period which ties his career high.
• AIC added three more goals in the in the third period while holding the Pioneers to just two shots on goal in the period to result in the 8-2 Yellow Jacket victory.
