Box Score NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Sacred Heart University field hockey completed its comeback to defeat St. Francis U., 4-3 in double-overtime in its home-opener at Johnson Field Friday afternoon. Colleen McAninley scored the game-winning goal, while Kayla Bedel-Franklin and Julia Chang tallied a goal apiece in the win.
The Pioneers improve to 1-2 on the season with the win, while the Red Flash fall to 0-3 on the season with the loss. SHU will be back in action on Sunday, Sept. 8 when the Pioneers take on Yale at Johnson Field at 1 p.m.
