TOWSON, Md. – The Sacred Heart University field hockey team put together a strong offensive push in the fourth quarter but ultimately fell 3–1 at Towson on Sunday afternoon.

Towson capitalized on a penalty stroke in the 26th minute, taking a 1–0 halftime edge.
The Tigers doubled their advantage early in the third quarter and added another in the fourth to make it 3–0 with just under 11 minutes remaining.
Sacred Heart responded with heavy pressure in the final frame, generating 10 shots and five penalty corners in the quarter. Sophomore
Hailey Vogt broke through in the 54th minute, burying a penalty stroke for her first career goal to cut the deficit to 3–1.
The Pioneers outshot Towson 18–12 overall, including a 14–6 edge in shots on goal, but Towson's goalkeeper stood tall with 13 saves to hold off the Pios.

Ruby Butler made three saves in the first half of her first career start, while
Brianna Cooper played the final 30 minutes.
