TOWSON, Maryland - The Sacred Heart University field hockey team earned its third win of the season, as the Pioneers defeated Towson, 3-2, in overtime on the road Sunday afternoon. Allie Brouhard, Bridget Kelly and Kayla Bedel-Franklin scored in the win, with Bedel-Franklin's goal being the game-winner in overtime.

The Pioneers return to action on Monday, September 3, when the Pioneers travel to take on Saint Francis University at 11 a.m. in Washington, D.C.

The Scoring

• (16:45): Allie Brouhard scored on a penalty stroke to give SHU a 1-0 lead

• (28:24): Abby Webster scored an unassisted goal to tie the game at 1-1

• (46:39): Katie McNeel scored on a penalty stroke to give Towson a 2-1 lead

• (48:18): Kelsy Hopkins fed a pass to Bridget Kelly, who put a shot past the goalkeeper to tie the contest at 2-2

• (76:49): Kayla Bedel-Franklin pushed the ball from the left side of the net and put the ball in the back of the net for the 3-2 win

• Brouhard's goal was her second of the season and fifth of her career
