Emmitsburg, MD (April 10, 2016) – The Sacred Heart softball team lost a pair of conference games Sunday afternoon to Mount St. Mary's by scores of 8-7 and 7-4.

In game one, the Pioneers lost in heartbreaking fashion as Jamie Carlson (Corona, Calif.) gave up a walk-off three-run homerun to Rachel Heinze. It was a back and forth game which saw the Pioneers up for most of the game before the walk-off.

Game two didn't go Sacred Heart's way either as they lost 7-4 and defending NEC rookie and pitcher of the week Emily Orosco (Camarillo, Calif.) couldn't get past the second as she gave up six runs on four hits. Lindsay Heinze led the way for Mount St. Mary's with a homerun of her own and five RBI.
