WEST POINT, NY – The Sacred Heart women's tennis team dropped their second consecutive match Saturday night, falling 5-2 to the Army Black Knights at Lichtenberg Tennis Center in West Point. The Pioneers fall to 1-2 this season.
Sophomore Paige Olson (Sykesville, MD) and senior Gabi Kaldan (New Brunswick, NJ) recorded victories for the Pioneers. Olson had the most dominant win of the match with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Haley O'Connor, while Kaldan also impressed with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Elle Taylor. Junior Nicole Rydzewski (Maspeth, NY) lost a tough first tie-breaker, 10-8, before falling in straight sets to Maya Parker.
The Pioneers hit the courts again tomorrow afternoon for match against Binghamton at Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
