Bridgeport, CT – The Holy Cross Crusaders got 2 goals and 2 assists from Rebecca Fleming en route to a 4-1 victory over Sacred Heart in the second semi-final of the ECAC Women's Hockey Open at the Wonderland of Ice in Bridgeport. SHU goaltender tallied 30 saves in the losing effort. The Pioneers (17-13-1) will now play in the consolation contest on Sunday at 1 PM.

The Crusaders were able to jump off to the 1-0 lead thanks to a nice effort from Mary Klimasewiski at 3:14 of the first period. Klimasewiski followed up her own shot and was able to knock in the rebound for Holy Cross's first goal of the afternoon. Klimasewiski was assisted by Fleming, who was involved in every single Holy Cross goal. Sophomore Pioneer Natasha Klinoff (Concord, MA), found the back of the net at 16:55 to even up the score at one apiece. Klinoff was able to clean up a rebound created by Whitney Henderson (Elkins Park, PA) and Alex Davis (Pembroke, MA) to notch her ninth goal of the season. Fleming took the lead right back for Holy Cross just 50 seconds later to give the Crusaders the lead for good. She was assisted by Amanda Gallagher.

Fleming and Gallagher connected one more time for Holy Cross' third goal at 1:22 of the second period, Flemings second goal of the game. The final Crusader goal was tacked on at 7:10 of the third period; Jessica Frascotti was able to find the back of the net with some help from Fleming and Klimasewiski.

Holy Cross goaltender Krista Manzanares notched 22 saves to secure the win.

Sacred Heart will play their final game of the season tomorrow at 1 PM against St. Michael's in the ECAC Open consolation game.
