The second Miller goal and game-winner was assisted by Duncan McKellar and Ben Danford. The Golden Griffs would add to their lead at 14:13 on a power play goal by freshman Chris Rumble, his first of the season. Rumble was helped out by McKellar and senior Preston Shupe. The Golden Griff's impressive second period would come to an end with a shorthanded goal by sophomore Matthew Grazen, assisted by Torrey Lindsay to increase their lead to 4-1.

Canisius would score their final goal just 1:37 into the third period, a goal from Kyle Gibbons, helped out by Rumble.  The Pioneers and Golden Griffins are right back at it tomorrow afternoon at 4 PM at the Webster Bank Arena.
