Air Force (5-2-2, 4-0-1 AHA) took a 1-0 lead only 4:33 into the first period, when Jason Fabian scored with assists from Adam McKenzie and Paul Weisgarber.  It was not long before the Falcons found the back of the net again.  John Kruse scored his second goal in as many nights with 10:28 left in the opening stanza, George Michaelke earned an assist on the play.

Sacred Heart (0-8-0, 0-4-0 AHA) would cut into the Air Force deficit 4:22 into the second period. Eric Delong (Oakville, MB) scored his first goal of the season on a pass from Ben Ketchum (Greenwich, CT).  The Falcons would take the 2-1 advantage into the second intermission.

The Pioneers pulled to within 3-2 as Tye Lewis (Vancouver, WA) lit the lamp as the Pioneers had an extra attacker on the ice.  Sacred Heart was unable to get of another shot down the stretch and were swept out of Air Force by the narrowest of margins.
