Adam Niemczynowicz

Adam Niemczynowicz was named head coach of the Sacred Heart University men’s volleyball program in June 2022. He brings a wealth of experience and a strong coaching pedigree to the Pioneers, having previously led Bard College's men's volleyball program for five seasons.

During his time at Bard, Niemczynowicz coached in the highly competitive United Volleyball Conference, one of the top NCAA Division III conferences in the country. Despite the cancellation of the 2021 season, he helped guide the Raptors to their most successful campaign since 2016. In addition to his coaching duties, he also served as an assistant athletic director, contributing to the overall development of Bard’s athletics department.

Originally from Poland, Niemczynowicz played NCAA Division I volleyball at Concordia College (N.Y.) from 2001 to 2003. He was a key contributor on a team that made three consecutive appearances in the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) playoffs and achieved a national ranking as high as No. 13. As a freshman in 2001, he earned EIVA All-Tournament Team honors.

Niemczynowicz earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from Concordia in 2004. He holds a master’s degree in physical education with a specialization in volleyball coaching from the Academy of Physical Education in Gdansk, Poland. In addition to his coaching background, he has extensive playing experience on both the professional beach and indoor volleyball circuits.

Since arriving at Sacred Heart, Niemczynowicz has brought a passionate, player-first approach to the program, focused on building a competitive team culture and elevating the program within the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Program.
