Kathryn Daly

Katy Daly enters her first year at Sacred Heart University as an Athletic Trainer. Her primary sport responsibilities are our men’s lacrosse and men’s wrestling teams.

Daly joins SHU’s Athletic Training staff after spending the last two years as an Associate Athletic Trainer at Newberry College. At Newberry, she covered women’s volleyball, men’s basketball, cheer and dance. She also assisted in writing and revising the Athletic Training policies and procedures that included their emergency action plan and concussion policy. Daly holds a certification in dry needling therapy.

Prior to her time at Newberry College, Daly worked for Prisma Health in South Carolina as an outreach Athletic Trainer. During this time, she provided coverage to several high schools and colleges in the Columbia, S.C., area.

Daly spent two years as a graduate assistant at SHU where she pursued a master’s degree in Exercise Science which she completed in 2020. During this time, Daly worked with the SHU women’s soccer team and men’s volleyball team.

Daly received her undergraduate degree from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in 2017. During her time at MCLA, Daly played on the women’s soccer team while gaining a variety of experience working with men’s soccer, men’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s basketball, and dance.

Daly is excited to be back at SHU as a full-time Athletic Trainer and to be working with our great staff here at Sacred Heart.
