Aaron Leeds joins the Sacred Heart University men's lacrosse program in September 2024 as an assistant coach/defensive coordinator. Leeds comes to SHU after spending two seasons on the Brown University men's lacrosse staff.

While at Brown, Leeds worked with five All-Ivy selections and a pair of USILA Scholar All-Americans.

Leeds was a four-year member of the Salisbury University lacrosse program, graduating in 2017 with a degree in Exercise Science.

"We are excited to add Aaron to our staff," said Head Coach Jon Basti. "Coach Leeds brings a unique experience to our staff, considering he won two national championships as a player at Salisbury and has coached at a very high level. It will benefit our guys to draw on that experience this season. We are looking forward to him working with our defensive personnel and helping them improve their skills as well as becoming better at our overall defensive team concepts."

Following his collegiate career, Leeds spent one season as an assistant lacrosse coach at Ferrum College before serving as an assistant for two seasons at RPI in Troy, New York.

In 2020, Leeds returned to Salisbury as a graduate assistant coach and helped the Sea Gulls capture consecutive Coast-to-Coast Conference Championships. Salisbury reached the 2021 National Championship game, falling to RIT.

Leeds earned his Master of Education in Post-Secondary Education in 2022 from Salisbury.

As a player, Leeds captained Salisbury as a senior in 2017 and led the Sea Gulls to their second straight National Championship while picking up All-Conference and All-America honors as a defenseman.
