Pat Saporito

Saporito begins his 10th season as an assistant coach for the Sacred Heart football team in 2025. He works primarily with special teams and wide receivers. 
 
Saporito earned his bachelors degree in History from Iona College in 2006.

He played two seasons as a graduate student at Western New Mexico University, playing receiver and special teams.
 
COACHING AT SHU

  • Was part of the 2018, 2020-21, 2021 NEC Championship Teams
  • Helped the Pios finish 2021 ranked 22nd in the FCS National Poll
  • Produced two All-American's - James Rentz and Noah Gettman
  • In 2015, Rentz earned FCS National Special Teams Player of the Week
  • Coached multiple NEC Special Teams Player of the Week - James Ross, Alec Finney, Ezekiel Ennis, Noah Gettman

  • Served as the offensive video coordinator

  • Two seasons with the Hatters
  • Served as the safeties coach and video coordinator
  • Coached two players who were named to Phil Steel's Freshman All-American team
